Elizabeth is a highly acclaimed landscape photographer who has been working in the industry for over 10 years. Inexorably drawn to the urban environment, her images are often heavily centred around shape and texture.
More often than not, Elizabeth’s award winning creative photography has been snapped in far-off, exotic lands as she embraces her other great passion – world exploration.
From the photographer:
“The storm will pass. The spring will come.” – Robert H. Schuller
Spring in the mountains is a beautiful thing. Even though the first signs of spring means the snow will be melting soon—not always a happy sight for a skier—I still find the first signs of spring peeking through the blanket of thick snow to be such a beautiful image. The colour that comes with spring is a beacon of life in the otherwise monochromatic scenery that is snow and coniferous trees.
This print is part of a series taken towards the end of winter while journeying through Alberta and British Colombia.
I travelled along the Powder Highway and right through the heart of the Rocky Mountains in search of great images and fresh snow to ski. I found both with little effort.
