“The mountains are calling and I must go.” ― John Muir

From the photographer: Elizabeth Bull

It was to be a trip of a lifetime. The year I turned 30, to celebrate, I travelled across America with my favorite people in the world: just the girls.

As we pulled out of Calgary in the heart of Canada, we drove directly south for the Canadian/US border, navigating towards the heart of Montana.

We were full of excitement and anticipation for our summer road trip adventure.

What a thrill it was to drive into the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

We were overcome by the calming stillness as its ever majestic presence loomed closer.

We were shocked that, despite being on a summer vacation, there was still much snow and a winter quietness present in the mountains.

It seemed fitting for us to pile out of the car wearing our summer holiday attire of flip flops and tank tops to soak in their incredible view.
