LESS THAN THREE WEEKS UNTIL WE POP OUT OF BRUNSWICK!
Come along and visit us at 70 Lygon St Brunswick before it’s too late!
With just under three weeks till the end of the year and until we wrap up the pop up I reflect on the year it has been…
I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions, but I do like to reflect back on the year that was and think about what is to come.
And what a year it has been! I could do what is tempting to do here and act like we are bigger and longer established than we are, but I think it’s more important to share some of the story and our journey.
When writing this I actually had to stop and think: Was it just this year that we launched? Has it not even been 12 months since I took that leap of faith on an idea I’d been thinking about and talking about and planning for a very long time before that?
There was so much uncertainty and fear before I launched. What if? How? Why? And the constantly looming and ever present fear: What if my passion project fails.
But I’m so glad I pushed the fear aside and launched One Fine Print earlier this year with our first ever showcase in Smith St, Fitzroy.
Over the course of the year there have been many tears, sleepless nights, long hours and even more sleepless nights, but the hard work has paid off and we’ve achieved more than I could have ever imagined.
On reflection, I can now see that my passion project, my creative small business, has rocked it!
In less than twelve months, One Fine print has had two succsessful pop up stores in Melbourne, collaborating with great local businesses; featured six prints in the winning apartment on Channel Nine’s hit series The Block; built relationships with a range of great retail stockists, and attracted a beautiful tribe of almost 2,000 followers on Instagram.
On a personal note, amongst the craziness I’ve continued to travel and produce personal creative imagery for One Fine Print, travelling to Japan, South America, NZ and America this year to get those images!
But the most important and biggest success we’ve had to date is that we’ve connected people with beautiful unique Australian photography that they can enjoy in their homes.
I haven’t done it alone though. I have a great tribe of people with whom I work who go above and beyond every single day. I also have a great support network of friends and family who are my rock.
I don’t believe it’s about luck. But I do feel lucky.
To all who have supported us and are now enjoying our prints in their home, I say Thank You!
Enjoy the festive season xo
